From Public to Private: The Team Approach at Scottish – Hydro Electric Plc
Scottish Hydro‐Electric plc faced a major change – moving from the public to the private sector. The strategy involved creating a higher performance, customer‐focused company. The senior management group, about 130 in total, were targeted as key people in bringing about the change. Initial activity set the scene for a programme aimed at improving personal and team effectiveness as a means of achieving corporate goals. The combination of playing to inherent strengths and developing relevant skills has so far proved to be a winning formula.
