Further comments on “cloud-averaged” concentration statistics
A new statistic is devised for the important practical problem of monitoring the dilution of contaminant concentrations that result when a quantify of contaminant is suddenly released in environmental flows. The advantage of this approach is that both theoretical prediction and experimental validation is made more tractable. A simple example is used to illustrate the concept.
