Going Places? Visitors, Enthusiasts and the Public History of Transport

The ways in which the public learns about the histories of transport and travel are explored. The role of displays put on by museums and by heritage transport attractions - organisations such as steam railways, paddleboat shipping companies, vintage bus and tram operators, and so on, which operate obsolete vehicles for the public's benefit are explained.
