Guidability as a Way to Organizational Innovations : Case Study of Three Types of New Organizations in Russia

In accordance with the Amitai Etzioni works author revealed the interrelation between guidability, self-organizing and power. It is concluded that guidability itself is not necessarily connected with the power. Power is applied in the case of decisions which obviously did not receive support. The fact that the power is used is seen as a sign of loss of control and guidability. Thus, a power using testifies about crisis of guideability. It is drawn a conclusion, that guidability is the precondition of both: management and self-organizing. Basing on the modern sociological theories, the author formulates the principles of forming guidable intraorganizational fields, that contribute to organizational innovations. Conducted case study allows to identify three types of guidable organizations: technocratic organization, the organization of controlling (management control system) and learning organization
