Husband-wife communication and status of women as a determinant of contractive use in rural Bangladesh

Using data collected from Savar sub-district (in Dhaka district), the authors investigate the socio-economic status of women and identify the factors that affect choice of contraception in rural Bangladesh. The study suggests that women who work outside their homes are independent and their status is improved in the community. (DÜI-Sen)
