Impact of Labor Union Utility on Intrinsic and Extrinsic Job Satisfaction and organizational commitment : The Role of Union membership and Leadership Styles in a Multi-group analysis of Private and Govt Employees of Pakistan

The purpose of this study is to find the impact of Labor Union Utility on Intrinsic and Extrinsic job Satisfaction and organizational commitment with Moderating role of Union Membership and leadership Styles (TRS-L- Transactional Leadership, TRF-L- Transformational Leadership, ATH-L- Authoritarian leadership, and AUT-L- Authentic Leadership) using Multi-Group Analysis of private and Govt Employee of Pakistan. The study was conducted in Karachi, a quantitative approach was applied and a survey questionnaire was distributed online. A data sample of 350 employees who are associated with NBFC, s (Private and Govt) has been collected and analyzed on SEM PLS. Overall 18 hypotheses have been tested of which three are direct relation while 25 were moderated relation. The finding of the study suggests that Labor union utility has an impact on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation but no impact on organizational commitment in a private firm. When it comes to govt firms, Labor union utility has no impact on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation but has an impact on organizational commitment. union membership seems to complement the effect of Labor union utility on intrinsic motivation and organizational commitment for overall firms, whereas no impact was witnessed for a private firm, similar sort of result found in govt sector too. Transactional authentic and authoritarian leadership as a moderator was found to be most affected when it comes to govt sector but not with Pvt Sector. The finding of the study suggests to the manager that cultural differences do matter
