Improving the Methods of Determining the Effectiveness of Capital Investments

Almost 15 years have passed since the All-Union Conference on the Effectiveness of Capital Investments was held (l),1 3 years have elapsed since the publication of the first edition of the -Standard Methods for Determining the Economic Effectiveness of Capital Investments and New Equipment in the USSR National Economy [Tipovaia metodika opredeleniia ekonomicheskoi effektivnosti kapital'nykh vlozhenii i novoi tekhniki v narodnom khoziaistve SSSR], and the second edition of these methods has been in operation for almost 4 years. Based on these methods, numerous branch instructions have been elaborated for calculating the effectiveness of new equipment and capital investments. The experience derived from their application is becoming increasingly broad.
