Indicators and assessment of the environmental impact of EU consumption

This report provides an overview of the result of the application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to assess the environmental impacts of consumption in the European Union (EU) as a basis to support policies and to improve the appraisal of impacts and benefits thereof. The content builds upon the results of the Life Cycle Indicators (LC-IND2) project, which aimed to develop two sets of Life Cycle Assessment-based indicators for the assessment of the environmental impact of EU consumption: the Consumer Footprint and the Consumption Footprint.
