International Migration and Education : An Approximation of the Effect on School Attendance in Colombia

This paper explores the linkage between international migration and school attendance for Colombia during 2005. Data from National Demographic and Health Survey, carried out by Profamilia, were used. The potential presence of endogeneity was ruled out by estimating Probit models using non-linear-two-stages methods. No evidence was found on migration increasing the probability of attending school
