Interview with Anders Dahlvig

Purpose – The purpose of this article is to provide an interview with the former IKEA CEO, Anders Dahlvig. Design/methodology/approach – The paper provides an interview with Anders Dahlvig, former CEO of IKEA and author of The IKEA Edge . Findings – In the interview, Anders discusses how IKEA's business model, as outlined in his book, can be adopted by other leaders. Originality/value – The interview highlights IKEA's four cornerstones: a strong vision and values with a social ambition; price and product differentiation through control of the entire value chain; a strong approach to global diversification; and a strong committed owner with a long term view.
