Introducing the New UCC Article 2A : Leases

In 1987, the sponsors of the Code, the National Conference, and The American Law Institute, gave their final approval to a new Official Text of the Code which, for the first time in its 35-year history, contains a new article dealing with personal property leasing transactions.This new Article 2A on Leases represents the first comprehensive codification of the law of leases of goods, and should put to rest many of the issues that have been the subject of extensive litigation in the past
