Jointly Building the 'Belt and Road' towards the Sustainable Development Goals

This brief paper is intended to delineate the important role of the "Belt and Road" Initiative in facilitating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The paper has found that the "Belt and Road" and the 2030 Agenda share in many respects a similar vision and some basic principles. The paper has identified how the five priority areas under the "Belt and Road" can contribute directly or indirectly to the achievement of the 17 SDGs, as well as the link of the "Belt and Road" to the seven Action areas of the AAAA
