The paper aims to analyse what made labour scarce and critical in the UK. Current social trends and demographic changes, acceleration of globalisation and off-shoring, decentralisation of high skilled workers, advancement in information technologies, and rapid improvements in quality standards – all these have greater contribution to tighten labour scarcity than ever before in the UK.
