Lean Production in the Era of Industry 4.0

Lean production is highly appreciated in the manufacturing world. Which directly helps to integrate human and machines. Sustainable approach, making continues improvement, value adding services all are the main objective of a lean production system. But since Industry 4.0 emerging as new trend in the manufacturing group. It works with the help of ICT and CPS will help traditional manufacturing to integrate with Industry 4.0. Which will be further lead a smart network, product and smart machines. ICT will integrate with the entire value chain to make a Smart factory which will be the future of intelligent manufacturing. This paper will describe the existing lean production and implementation of Industry 4.0. Moreover, a plot will be drawn between drawbacks of lean and advantages of industry 4.0. Combining both and the role of CPS, elimination of Kanban and new trends of implementation will be explained
