Lieber begehrt und im Uberfluss als uberflussig und in Not: Ein Beispiel. (With English summary.)
Satiation means that the marginal utility of income decreases. One might infer from this that satiation should imply a shorte r labor time of the relative rich. This paper shows that such a concl usion is false. To the contrary and, at first sight, paradoxically, i t is rather to be expected that satiation will lead to raising income claims instead. On the other hand, it may happen to the relative poo r (being near to some minimum aspiration level) that they end up with lower wages (and not with less work), if they reduce their aspiratio ns.
