Linear Burnett coefficients and thermodynamic fluctuations in extended irreversible thermodynamics
The fluctuation theory based on extended irreversible thermodynamics is applied to relate linear Burnett coefficients with second moments of the fluctuations of dissipative fluxes. The results agree with those of kinetic theory and of time-correlation function formalism in the domain of validity of extended thermodynamics.
