Linear response theory of the viscosity of suspensions of spherical brownian particles
We study the frequency-dependent viscosity of a suspension of spherical particles on the basis of linear response theory applied to the generalized Smoluchowski equation. Hydrodynamic interactions are fully taken into account. We derive expressions for the frequency-dependent viscosity based on a cluster expansion of the linear response.
