Living spaces, cities and regions shaping the built environment for everyone : living spaces : towards a shared culture of high-quality architecture in cities and regions : thematic analysis
This document clusters the findings from Living Spaces, demonstrating that building and planning for everyone improves cohesion, attractiveness, and the sustainability of our cities and regions. It reports on local solutions to implement architecture principles laid out in the Davos Declaration. Adopting a thematic structure, it exemplifies how quality in the built environment enables cities and regions to respond to their most pressing challenges. In doing so, it identifies the enablers and gives concrete advice to help local authorities around Europe adopt high quality principles in their urban policies. Finally, it provides recommendations for the European Commission to sustain its support to peer-learning to embed quality principles in working practices on the long-term.
