Macroeconomics under the microscope: Heterogeneity and uncertainty

This Ph.D. thesis consists of four self-contained chapters, which all investigate macroeconomic questions from a micro perspective: through structural models with either full distributional heterogeneity or approximations thereof, and in one case, through microdata.
