Resumen El presente artículo es un recorrido histórico a partir de la visita de las dos misiones Kemmerer, Currie, Lebret y del Banco Mundial, que quiere hacer evidente la creciente búsqueda de fórmulas que generen desarrollo, sin llevar a cabo los cambios estructurales que un país con la complejidad de Colombia ameritan. En ese sentido, se reconocerán algunos aportes de las diferentes misiones internacionales, tal como, los desaciertos al momento de ejecutar las recomendaciones. Vale destacar que ciertas sugerencias aplicadas por decreto, resultados de estas misiones, han contribuido al desarrollo del país; aunque en otros casos, que no tuvieron la misma suerte, han servido para evidenciar "la buena voluntad de los gobernantes de turno" para ofrecerle a Colombia elementos de difícil aplicación, a la luz de las experiencias sociales, políticas, culturales, históricas y económicas de otros países que nos precedieron en el camino hacia el "desarrollo". El artículo se basa en la recopilación y análisis de los documentos de las diferentes misiones mencionadas. Abstract Made in the World is better: The economical missions in Colombia and our ancient unbelief. The present article is a historical route, beginning with the two Kemmerer´s Missions, the Currie´s Mission, the Lebret´s Mission and the World Bank´s Mission, which wants to consider as an evidence the continuous growth in the search of prescriptions, which generate development, without accomplishing the structural changes of a complex country as Colombia needs. In that sense, some contributions will be recognized from different international missions, such as, the blunders at the moment of executing the recommendations. It is important to mention that some suggestions apply by decree, results of these missions, has contributed to the development of the country; although in another cases, those which did not have the same luck, have served to evidence "the turn governor´s willingness" to offer Colombia elements of difficult application, considering social, political, cultural, historical and economical experiences of another countries that preceded us on the way to "development". The article is based in the recompilation and analysis of the documents of the different Missions mentioned.
