Mapping of needs for mainstreaming climate adaptation into EU standardisation : final report

This Final Report is the final deliverable prepared by Ricardo, in collaboration with Ipsos and Climate Sense, in relation to a study to support the mapping of needs for mainstreaming climate adaptation into EU standardisation. The report has been prepared for the Directorate General (DG) Climate Action (CLIMA) of the European Commission (EC) and was submitted on 29 September 2023. The purpose of the report is to present the study's methodological approach, results, main conclusions and the study team's recommendations for the use of the results and for further work to mainstream climate adaptation into European standards (EN standards). The report begins with a short introduction to the study's background, objectives, and outline method. It then presents the methodological approach and key results of the study's three tasks, which shortlist European standards that are relevant to be considered for adaptation mainstreaming. Lastly, it provides the study's conclusions and recommendations on how to use the results and further work.
