Measurements on the influence of binary collisions on the depolarized Rayleigh and rotational Raman lines for H2-noble gas systems at low temperatures
Measurements are reported on the collisional broadening of the depolarized Rayleigh line and of the broadening and shift of the rotational Raman lines for nH2He, pH2He, nH2Ne, pH2Ne and nH2Ar. The measurements were carried out in the binary collision regime in the temperature range from 23−311 K. Data were obtained as a function of the noble gas concentration. The resulting broadening and shift coefficients for H2 at infinite dilution are reported.
