Mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising model in transverse random fields
We investigate the critical properties of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising model in a transverse random field. In this study, we use two approaches: the pair approximation and the mean field renormalization group each combined with the discretized path integral representation. It is found that both methods predict quantitatively the same phase diagram. Critical exponents of the system are also calculated.
