Report defines what is meant by knowledge and innovation intermediaries, summarises the rationale behind the role given to intermediaries in an open ecosystem and multi-actor perspective, describes the role of intermediary organisations as knowledge valorisation actors, maps and analyses the landscape of established intermediaries, identifies new approaches, practices and models adopted by conventional and novel intermediaries, and discusses the main policy implementation challenges.
