New method of analysing static converter behaviour using global analogue simulation
The use of analogue models for semi-conductors enables classical simulation methods to be extended to the global simulation of static converters. The inherent disadvantages of classical analogue simulation are eliminated by the design of specific electronic circuits to make the analogue models into floating devices. These devices enable the analogue simulator to be wired in exactly the same way as the actual converter. Example of the simulation method applied to force commutated converter is presented.
