New Trends in Data Distribution - EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
With new trends in data distribution, inovative models of data distribution are developed. One of these models is EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). EDI is standardized method for transferring data between different computer systems or computer networks. It facilitates computer-to-computer exchange of electronic documents without human intervention or human readable documents. EDI cuts processing costs and increases data accuracy. EDI is make possible transferring data between citizens and government starting with project e Croatia. This study explores the construct of “level of EDI implementation” in Tax Administration in order to establish its relationship with system success and the criticality of selected implementation factors. This paper offers a contribution through the primary research of a EDI implementation at a Tax Administration in Croatia. It can be concluded that number of beneficiary who use services „e Tax“ has grown in year 2007.
