Nucleation stage of ferrocolloid phase separation induced by an external magnetic field
We consider an initial stage of the origination of droplike aggregates in a ferrocolloid made metastable by a strengthening of an external magnetic field, when emerging nuclei are still not large enough to affect ferrocolloid properties appreciably. Expressions for the growth rate of a high-elongated ellipsoidal shaped aggregate, for the critical nucleus volume and for the nucleation rate are presented.
