On the Road to a Unified Communication Strategy and a Comprehensive Policy Plan to Strengthen Democracy and the Rule of Law in the EU

In order to provide a manual that EU policy-makers can use to better engage with EU citizens, Deliverable 15.1 provides a comprehensive summary of the most important findings of all our deliverables published so far under the RECONNECT project. However, this is not just a simple compilation. In each chapter, after having briefly discussed the main findings of our research, we highlight some key messages and formulate recommendations addressed specifically to EU policy-makers to help them build a communication strategy and put in place policy measures that aim to bring the EU closer to its citizens. We believe that, in most cases, our findings, messages, and recommendations are clear and straightforward. However, there are certain areas at the crossroads of multiple disciplines where more guidance may be needed to help EU policy-makers make good use of our work
