Onsager-Casimir reciprocity relations for open gaseous systems at arbitrary rarefraction
On the basis of the general theory presented in part I a number of the following typical and practically important problems of rarefied gas dynamics are considered: evaporation and condensation of a gas between two parallel plates, evaporation and condensation in a closed cylinder, two-dimensional gas flow through a capillary and gas flow past a particle. The explicit expressions of the thermodynamic fluxes and kinetic coefficients satisfying the Onsager-Casimir reciprocity relations are derived. The couplings between cross effects arising in the gas flows are obtained from these relations.
