Optimality of production structure in Šumava region
Agriculture production structure is at present quite rarely discussed problem although its significance relatively increases mainly in mountain and subhill areas. The need of optimal production structure definition is reflected in transformation process as well as in formulation of agriculture policy. Solved region is because of its the boarder position, mountain area and higher level of nature protection typical marginal region. Very important factor of such model solution of this area is the different approach for several parts of whole region with respect to production intensity. For each part of this area separate model solution has been prepared. All models content different solution conditions reflecting the special character of solved area. Main outputs of this study are optimal solution for each intensity variants including both, profit maximization and erosion risk minimization approach. The result is reflecting strong focus on beef cattle as most important production. In more intensive areas the best type of farm seems to be field production concentrated on cereals. The whole model is completed with a parameterization model of milk prices for providing of detailed description of links and relations influence the milk production which could be possible the main type of production in such areas.
