Organizational citizenship behavior : Study of Pakistan banking workers shows links between perception of training and OCB, with power distance as moderator
Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings A study of workers in the banking sector in Pakistan found a significant influence of perception of training on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The study found no relationship between perception of training and organizational commitment, but OC partly mediated the effect of perception of training on OCB. Meanwhile, the results revealed that power distance moderates the impact of perception of training on organizational commitment. Originality The briefing saves busy executives, strategists and researchers hours of reading time by selecting only the very best, most pertinent information and presenting it in a condensed and easy-to-digest format.
