Personal knowledge management : Putting the “person” back into the knowledge equation

Purpose – The author aims to introduce this themed issue on personal knowledge management. Design/methodology/approach – The author discusses some of the issues surrounding personal and organisational knowledge management, and then introduces the papers in this themed issue. Findings – Personal knowledge management is an under‐researched area. This themed issue contributes both technical and theoretical papers to the field. Originality/value – The paper provides an introduction to this themed issue.
