Phasor Estimation Under Transient Conditions with Legendre-Luenberger Observer
The measurement data in real-time in power systems are very important to protection and control. The phasor measurement unit (PMU) is the common tool to obtain information on wide areas. This paper proposes a Legendre- Luenberger-Observer (LLO), that is obtained with a model development with Legendre approximations and its implementation with Luenberger Observer, the algorithm was made thinking in the step changes requirements defined in IEEE standard C37.118.1 by phasor performance, which occurred when faults are presented in the systems. The obtained results are satisfactory because is possible to arrive at a steady-state in a small time. Also, with the location of the positions of the eigenvalues in the observer, the undershoots and overshoots in the measurement phasor estimate can vanish with the proposed method. On other hand, the estimates are obtained in real-time
