The Hybrid Computer Research Center of the National Research Council of Italy carried out a Digital Differential Analyser, the PMICE, whose architecture has been object of previous works. In the present paper the Authors want to inspect the PMICE from the User point of view: a quick tracking shot of the internal functional blocks is given and the main features of the PMDOS operating system are illustrated. In order to better explain the PMICE programming methodology and the powerfulness of available macrocodes the solution of a set of linear differential equations with non-constant coefficients is shown. Scaling methodologies are also emphasized: a special macrocode has been implemented to obtain easy and recursive interconnection relationships which take into account the scale factors of each macrocode parameter.
