Ex post evaluation of urban development and social infrastructures : ex post evaluation of Cohesion Policy programmes 2007-2013, focusing on the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund (CF) : work package 10, annexes
Data from the categorisation system (Annex II of Regulation 1828/2006) is reported to the Commission by the Managing Authorities with each Annual Report. The regular reporting contains data on the allocation of the funds to eligible projects. The data only cover the ERDF share of the intervention (not the national co-financing). The categorisation system consists of five different types of codes. The 'priority theme' code has been used to define the scope of the study (by selecting codes 61 and 75 to 79). Other codes cover the type of finance, the economic sector, and the territory (NUTS and type of territory). For some codes data were so incomplete that an analysis was not feasible. For instance, a more complete database with the breakdown by NUTS III region was only established by WP13 of the ex-post evaluation. These data were made available at a late stage of this study, after the stakeholder seminar of 15.07.2015, and therefore we could include only a much-focused analysis of these data. Reporting is done for each of the combination of the five codes and, thus, there is a detailed dataset of a larger number of combinations for each OP. However, the categorisation system data cannot be linked to the OP structure (e.g. to a specific priority axis). The study has been using data reported with the AIRs 2013, so they reflect the state of play as of end of 2013. Only WP13 data relate to the end of 2014.
