Problems Concerning the Use of Rural Labor Resources
The large capital investments allocated to agriculture in the current five-year plan create the prerequisites for a production upsurge in collective and state farms. The successful implementation of these possibilities is linked with further improvements in the use of the main productive force â labor resources. Describing the role played by labor and by means of production in the creation of new use values, Marx wrote: "A machine unused in the labor process is useless. ⦠The iron rusts and the wood rots. ⦠Live labor must encompass these objects, resurrect them from the dead, convert them from simply possible into real and operational use values."
