This report is published annually by the Commission before the start of each bathing season. The aim is to inform the public of the quality of bathing areas in each of the Communityu0092s Member States over the previous year. This report therefore relates to the 2005 bathing season. It also covers trends in bathing water quality in relation to previous bathing seasons (from 1990 to 2005).
