Random absorption on a 1D chain with several states per site
We construct models for the random absorption of monomers on a one-dimensional lattice which has two states per site and one of two types of nearest-neighbor state-dependent interactions. The “jamming” coverage, Θ(∞), for both models is found to be 1−12e. We also generalize one of these models to allow “r” states per site and calculate the new “jamming” coverage. The large “r” limit is related to a RSA nearest-neighbor exclusion model with two time scales.
