Realități și perspective privind exploatarea lemnului în România

In the paper the main aspects regarding timber harvesting in our country in the current conditions of national forest land are presented. In this respect, the following issues are tackled: ownership structure, management conditions, technical endowment level of the timber harvesting economic agents, as well as their technical knowledge in domain etc. Based on this analysis, proper directives regarding the work processes in the forest are proposed in accordance with the principles of sustainable management.
