Reducing Differences in the Living Standards of the Urban and Rural Population

The reduction of differences in the living standards of the urban and rural population is an important factor in achieving the social objectives set by the USSR Food Program. Economic prerequisites for establishing equal working and living conditions in town and country, for making incomes correspond to the needs of the rural population with due regard to the specific features of the rural life style and the improvement of distribution relations must be examined.
