Regional Disparities and their Development in Czech Re-public over 1996-2010 Years

One of the substantial tasks both of the European Union and Czech Republic in the domain of regional policiies is securing of an even development of regions. An impact of activities of an entire komplex of processes is expected here, contributing to positive changes in the economic, social and environmental situation of the regions aiming at reaching social and economic cohesion. A long term proces is undestood here, bringing about a gradual reduction of the differences between the regions. The paper deals with a description and assessment of changes in the relavant measures of regional development during the period 1996-2010, aiming at finding wheter and up to what degree are the regional disparities getting reduced.
