Relationship between Some Determinants of SMEs Performance in Nigeria : A Pilot Test

This paper examines a few sample data on the relationship between some determinants of SME performance in Nigeria.The study adopted survey approach to collect 74 usable questionnaires from SMEs in Sokoto State of North western Nigeria based on stratified random sampling method.The model produces four factors as some of the determinant of SMEs performance in Nigeria. Therefore, a pilot study is conducted with a view of assessing the validity and reliability of the measuring instrument. Validity and reliability of the instruments were examined based on expert assessment and also the small sample of the data was analyzed using SPSS v22. The Results of the pilot study reveals that the instruments adapted are reliable and valid
