La Revista Integración & Comercio del BID incluye artículos referidos a las distintas manifestaciones del proceso de integración en América Latina y el Caribe, a la integración hemisférica y, también, a los procesos con igual orientación que se llevan a cabo en otras partes del mundo. Este número de la Revista Integración & Comercio comprende la presentación de ocho artículos relacionados con dos campos de acción que tienen plena vigencia en el escenario del debate y el análisis académico referido a las negociaciones e implicancias de la renovada etapa de los procesos de integración en América Latina y el Caribe así como en el plano multilateral. Los primeros cuatro artículos presentan los trabajos que resultaron ganadores del Concurso Premio INTAL sobre el tema "Estándares laborales y distribución del ingreso en su relación con el comercio". Los otros cuatro artículos presentan una versión resumida de una serie de estudios de casos que está siendo encarada por el INTAL en relación al tema del "Impacto sectorial de los procesos de integración subregional".Abstract: The IDB's Integration & Trade Journal includes articles on different aspects of integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, on hemispheric integration and, furthermore, on similar processes in other parts of the world. The articles in this issue of the Integration & Trade Journal address two fields of particular relevance to academic analysis and debate on the negotiations for and the implications of the new stage of integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as at the international level. The first four articles are those that won the INTAL Prize Competition on the issue of "Labor Standards and Income Distribution: Their Relation to Trade." The INTAL Prizes were awarded during the symposium on "Labor Standards in the Context of Economic Integration and Free Trade" held at Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, in January of 1999. The other four articles are summary versions of a series of case studies that INTAL is undertaking on the issue of "The Sectoral Impact of Sub-regional Integration Processes."
