Searching for causes of work-related diseases : an introduction to epidemiology at work-site

Diseases are sometimes causea by a given set of working conditions or dangerous work processes. It may be possible to eliminate the occurrence of such a disease, but only if its cause is first identified. This requires the application of strict logical principles to the collection of data concerning workers' experiences with ill-health-or, in other words, application of the principles of epidemiology. This book provides an introduction to those principles. It will be useful to people with no previous knowledge of epidemiology who are directly involved in health promotion, such as physicians, nurses, union members, and workers themselves.
