Self-Leadership Skills as Intangible Resources for Sustainable Competitive Advantage

The aim of this paper is to examine the relationship between self-leadership skills and Sustainable Competitive Advantage. The study was carried out at small and medium business in Erbil. The current research focused on assessing the impact of self-leadership skills (Behaviour-focused strategies, Natural reward strategies, and Constructive thought patterns) to measure the influence on sustained competitive advantage in small and medium businesses in Kurdistan region of Iraq. The researchers applied simple regression analysis to measure the influence of each independent variable separately on sustainable competitive advantage as small and medium enterprises in Kurdistan region of Iraq. A total of 280 questionnaires were issued, but only 228 participants completed them correctly. The findings revealed that the strongest influence was the behaviour-focused strategies as a self-leadership on sustainable competitive advantage, on the other hand the weakest influence was constructive thought Patterns as a self-leadership on sustainable competitive advantage
