We illustrate these aspects using the case study of launching a hypothetical product called Pirate Instant Beer. We tie in each of the five ingredients above to our specific case study. The opportunity for a product like instant beer is reviewed. While the opportunity might seem enormous, potential road-blocks and any advantages we hold, need to be tabled, right at the start, while the concept is being decided. Needless to say, these need to reviewed at various stages and even after a successful product has been created.The reasons for choosing the name and the associated branding and positioning are discussed. Three examples of a marketing campaign for this product are considered. The last element looks at items that are necessary to ensure profits, such as financing the business, managing the supply chain, manufacturing, packaging, storage, distribution, merchandising, pricing and promotions.We also look at how the product in particular can meet the needs of the consumer environment and product appetite in Hong Kong. We finally touch upon how the concepts covered here can be used for Outcome Based Learning, with regards to training successful entrepreneurs. We conclude that the opportunity for new product launches is enormous, but needs careful analysis to ensure profitability
