Support Study for the ex-post evaluation of the ITS Directive 2010/40/EU : executive summary

This report presents the findings of the support study for the ex-post evaluation of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Directive 2010/40/EU commissioned by DG MOVE under contract MOVE/B4/SER/2016-237. The work was performed by Ricardo Energy & Environment and TEPR between November 2017 and July 2018. ITS are applications that apply information and communication technologies to transport. ITS services are being developed for different transport modes, for the interfaces between them and for traffic management systems to enable users to be better informed and make safer, more coordinated and smarter use of transport networks.
