Technological effort and disembodied technology exports : an econometric analysis of inter-industry variations in India

On the basis of a sample of the largest private Indian companies, the variables used to explain inter-industry variation in technology exports are described, and the results of a preliminary statistical investigataion presented. Tendencies in the field of R and D, skill and scale requirements, and the presence of foreign ownership, which could be the subject of further investigation, are suggested.(Economische Voorlichtingsdienst)
