Volunteer activity is one of the forms of charity and one of the foundations of civil society. According to some estimates, more than 100 million people participate in volunteering worldwide each year, and in many countries, it provides 4-8% of GDP. The phenomenon of Ukrainian volunteerism is characterized by a wide variety of ways and methods of fundraising, areas of assistance (military, high-tech, medical, repair, food, organizational, etc.), as well as powerful social support, which is established by the regulatory and legal framework. Implementation of neuropsychological research methods in the clinic is one of the key tasks of modern medical psychology. Materials and methods. A qualitative and quantitative content analysis of scientific Ukrainian- and English-language literature, published in the period from 2010 to 2023, was conducted, in which different approaches to the classification of volunteer activities are outlined. The search was conducted using PubMed, Google Scholar, American Psychological Association databases.The advantage of this approach is to pay attention to the metacognitive sphere of volunteers' psyche. This allows for a better understanding of the psychological essence of volunteering. To do this, we used the “Tkach, Lunov, Mosiichuk - Neuropersonality Test - General (TLM-NPT-G) (self-report form)” to study the neuropersonality characteristics of volunteers (Tkach, Lunov, Mosiichuk, 2023).Results.The existence of specific behavioral and value-motivational patterns of voluntary activity, determined by a neuropersonality predisposition, which consists in the functional strengthening and weakening of the front part of the brain, has been proven, of the:- Dorsolateral part of the prefrontal cortex of the brain,- Orbito-frontal part of the prefrontal cortex of the brain,- Ventromedial part of the prefrontal cortex of the brain,- Anterior cingulate cortex of the brain.The proposed classification of volunteers in post-classical neuropsychology makes it possible to use it for the multi-level study of various psychological aspects of volunteering
