The effect of relocation of corporate domicile on stock returns : The case of Hong Kong

The author examine the effect of corporate domicile of Hong Kong companies to other countries that were motivated by a desire to reduce political risk. They argue that political risk is too subjective a concept to be exposed to systematic quantitative analysis. The authors provide empirical evidence on the share price reaction to the announcement of corporate relocation during the 19-month period around the Tiananmen Square massacre June 4, 1989. (DÜI-Sen)
